2026 Boat Parade

The 2026 Lovell Lake Association Boat Parade on August 1, “Giddy-up Lovell Lake Rodeo,” continues the tradition of this beloved 50-plus-year celebration, inviting Lovell Lakers to showcase their creativity and lake spirit by decorating their boats and lakeshore areas in the spirit of the annual theme. Boating participants cruise around the lake, waving to spectators while displaying originality, imagination, and excitement for their wild west, rodeo-inspired designs. Prizes and awards are presented for the most creative interpretations of the theme, outstanding decorating originality, and overall participation enthusiasm, reinforcing the event’s role as a highlight of the summer social calendar and a testament to community pride on Lovell Lake.

From the beautifully decorated boats to the imaginative shoreline displays, this year’s Western theme came alive through your creativity, craftsmanship, and community spirit. Spectators lined the shores to cheer, and the enthusiastic energy throughout the parade made it a truly memorable celebration.

You brought the West to Lovell Lake in remarkable fashion—from floating covered wagons and boats filled with outlaws to a smoke-billowing paddle wheel, a sheriff’s jail wagon with deputy escorts, and the unforgettable cowboy town of Moonshine. Every detail showed the time, talent, and imagination that participants put into making the parade special.

The competition was especially strong this year, and our judges had some very difficult decisions to make in both the boat and shoreline categories. Whether you competed, decorated, helped bring an idea to life, or cheered from the shore, you helped create an event that captured the fun and spirit of our lake community.
